Swim Team

Our Swim Team competes in a local summer league and has an opening all-relays swim meet with all clubs in attendance, five dual swim meets, and a championship meet (with all teams attending) during the season. Swim team practices are according to the schedule below. Children on the swim team must have their badge and attend only one of the practices. Schedules for the practices and meets are below. Consult the dues and fees page at MyWBC for information about costs.

The expected practice schedule is as follows:

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Swimmers age 11 and over
9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Ten and under swimmers, and those who are novices
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Swim team members who are also morning sailors

Dual swim meets generally have warmups starting at 3:00 pm and the meet starts at 3:30 pm. Consult the calendar for more information.

Any member of the Club between the ages of 6 and 16 who has passed the badge test may join the swim team. The team practices every weekday (except meet days).

Our Old Broads Swim Team meets on Tuesday evenings from 8:00 - 9:00 pm during the summer.
